Australian Stage director Greg Eldridge trained at The Opera Studio Melbourne before completing specialist study in Opera Directing in Italy. He is a graduate of both the Merola Program in San Francisco, and the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera in London.
Greg is an IDC-accredited Level 2 Intimacy Director, and works regularly as a consultant on matters of arts access, equality, and decolonisation of repertoire.
He was for three years Professor of Opera Directing
at CCM in Cincinnati during which he also served as the Executive Director of Opera Project Columbus
Greg has worked on over 80 productions in 11 countries, and served for 3 years as a board member of the industry body Stage Directors UK.
A former Bayreuth Scholar, Greg's shows have been nominated for several Best Production awards in Australia and the USA. Greg works regularly with Sir David McVicar and currently lives in the United States.
