Australian Stage director Greg Eldridge trained at The Opera Studio Melbourne before completing specialist study in Opera Directing in Italy. He is a graduate of both the Merola Program in San Francisco, and the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera in London.
Greg has worked on over 80 productions across 11 countries, with his productions winning several awards.
He collaborates regularly with Sir David McVicar, and has worked at major international theatres including the Royal Opera Covent Garden, Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and other national theatres.
Greg is an IDC-accredited Level 2 Intimacy Director, and works regularly as a consultant on matters of arts access, equality, and decolonisation of repertoire. He has previously served as Professor of Opera Directing at CCM in Cincinnati, Executive Director of Opera Project Columbus in Ohio, and on the board of industry advocacy body Stage Directors UK.
